Out of curiousity, me and my girlfriend went on a date go Segarra (Ancol). Segarra is famous for its nightlife bar and dining experience.
We went there for dining, and the food they offer is the kind of mixture of western and pasta food (err.. this kind again, lets call this 'bule food' from now on) where you can find food like steak, pasta, pizza, and even fried rice. The main attraction of this place isn't the food itself, but the ambience of the place itself.
We were VERY VERY lucky to get a spot on one of this egg shaped tent. This tent is the best spot for couple dating dining (In my opinion at least), however was famous for its 'impossible to get unless you book' situation. My girlfriend's sister had tried to went here several times, however couldn't get into one of these baby. Nevertheless, once you decided to dine in the 'tent', the waiter told you that you will have to spend at least 300k rupiah on food and beverages as part of the rules of using the 'tent'. And guess what, it wasn't an easy task for 2 people to spend that much money on food, since the price tag that the food itself bear is standard high (pricey, but not very pricey).
AGAIN... no main food shot (sigh, sorry, I know!). However here, you can see the infamous longan ice lemon tree (pictured left) and a glass of vanilla ice cream (right).

Indo Food Run 2009 - 3
Pancake and crepe culinary approach has been very popular in Jakarta since last year. This one especially is one of the best of its kind. Pancious (Permata Hijau) is a house-based restaurant offering variety of sweet and hot pancakes. I can assure you they are delicious!
Too bad.. for the ... times I haven't take a detailed pictures of the food itself =( However as you can see from the picture above, the place is very nice for small meeting or regular outings, whether its lunch or dinner, or even just for snacks or supper.
Here we have Gelare (Plaza Indonesia) Gelatto Bar offering various gelatto ice cream. Their ice cream is so deliciously creamy (something for a gelatto kind) and sweet. Bearing an okay price tag, this place is one perfect place for a shopping mall meetings.
Ahahaha... need proof? =) Look how well the display ice creams took attention of my girlfriend even when we were taking photos! (Peace Sanny ^_^__v)

Indo Food Run 2009 - 2
Wee.. Duck King Restaurant. It offers variety of Chinese food (sorry no pics =( was to busy eating the delicious food), but of course as the name suggested its specialities is their Peking Duck. Once you order a pecking duck, they asked you how do we want the duck meat to be cooked (there's variety of it, as far as I remember we want it to be sauced black pepper or something...). The duck skin, is as per usual, wrapped into a small kebab layer and was mixed with slices of cucumber and duck sauce. Together, they create nasty (good!) taste of peking duck =)
Hmm.. This one was found on the entrance of Duck King Restaurant. Not quiet sure what it was, but my dad said its nice... Being a nice food, he also mention its very priceyy... But lol, why didn't I feel like eating it? =p
Marche restaurant (Plaza Senayan) is an all new concept of food court in Jakarta. When we enter, we greeted with a swedish (?) language for Welcome to Marche! Very warm welcome, we then given a card for us to order our food. The card itself has a price tag. If you ever lost it, thats 1 million rupiah of your pocket. Everytime you order food or beverages in this restaurant, they will stamp your card in according to what you order (simple concept). You then bring the card to the cashier on your way out after dining. The place overall is the best design for food court I've seen inside shopping mall. It replicate the live of market in Europe (even with the houses!) with people shouting and the loud sound of cutting and cooking meat.
The Pizza! and wow, this pizza has a very nice taste (I think it was chicken pizza). I put a lot of chili powder on top of it if you have noticed =p ahaha..
This is what my girlfriend order. I believe it called rosti (its basically a omelete made of pure potatoes) with beef sausage. It's very nice food!

Indo Food Run 2009 - 1
We were just too late to took photos of the food before our stomach rapidly digest them =p However this SOHO restaurant (Senayan City) provides good food for its type (umm.. typical makanan bule: pasta, steak, etc.. ahaha, not sure what type would have been called =p). Place is cozy for date, since face to face sofa is provided with the view of busy city of Jakarta. Price? Not too expensive, and even cheaper with BCA Card! ^_^
Anyone see this pictures at first time would've guessed where I went. Yes, we ate at Fish'n'Co (Pacific Place). The que is hectic, but food is nice, and again main reason we ate here because of 50% discount from BCA card! wee...
Not sure what its name (lupa..) but it looks like a full plate of a live fish deep fried (Not my menu, so not sure what it taste).
This is my food, hmm... too long to remember what it name, but it got nice taste of mixture of chili and coriander (the sauce!).
Now here, here... the main dishes of the day. Its a stingray fish with black pepper sauce topping. My girlfriend wasn't so sure how do you eat a stingray fish, then we ended up eating so messy with a lot of fish bones to get rid off. We also found that the fish smells so bad (not fresh?!), but would have been a gread food if not.
